The Isles of the Blessed
*The following is pure speculation. But in a world of weaponized information, all anyone can do is speculate.
My claim here is that capital is driving a wedge between accumulation and production. Nations, entities, or elites who have managed over centuries to accumulate wealth (primarily by pilfering lands of gold and silver) are in the driver’s seat and currently shaping the world so that no matter how much any other nation or entity produces, they can never hope to produce enough to ever threaten landed accumulated wealth.
Perhaps names matter or perhaps they don’t. Capital is the most abstract and thus accommodating term to connote those who have accumulated. If you prefer a concrete list, I can offer the following:
the Vatican
the City of London
the USA
American Jews
Israeli Jews
Any one of these “entities” could be construed as the enemy, but the word “capital” denotes them all. In this way, the term “capital” is useful; but it is also deceitful because it presupposes a single entity capable of acting according to a single set of interests. This is not the case. Elite strife and civil war is the norm and the exact nature of these antagonisms are beyond the pale for you and me to know. We can only speculate.
Global warming, for example, is a fake contestation and byproduct of an elite civil war. It matters not if global warming is “true” (you can never really know anyway). If you have a well-wrought opinion on the issue, you have already been co-opted by one side of capital over another. New tech, including Wall Street and Silicon Valley, will push the narrative of global warming in the hopes of applying a “technological fix” to the problem of monopoly that Marx so ingeniously portended over a century and a half ago. Global warming is justification for this brand of elites to promulgate superior technological products that will allow them to steal the wealth amassed by “old” industrial capitalists from a bygone era.
Old industrial capital, on the other hand, will continue to fight back not only by funding and financing anti-global warming think tanks of their own, but also by applying the “spatial fix,” i.e. moving production to more and more lower wage locales in hopes of stealing more surplus from the worker to shore up their position in their battle against finance capital.
One side, that is, believes the way to grow and entrench their position is through increased financialization and speculation; the other side stubbornly believes in the power of old-school accumulation of worker generated surplus (labor exploitation) and production.
This is the only true opposition at play in the world today. No other fight or struggle is even on the radar.
It seems at this point, the “new” capitalists (like Zuckerberg, Musk, and pharmaceutical Bill) will eventually wipe out the old industrialists (like the Koch brothers, the Waltons, and Microsoft Bill). One hundred percent of the reality you live in, meaning one hundred percent of the issues you get worked up over in an attempt to provide a “material” analysis of reality, is really just an extension of this overarching elite civil war ongoing. Any resistance you offer is, by design and by necessity, co-opted by either one of these two camps. Real resistance is impossible because your ability to see reality is circumscribed at the outset. You believe, for example, that when you are against the carnage in Gaza, you are championing a true and just cause. In reality, this is just an illusion.
Your opposition to the war in Gaza (or Lebanon and soon Iran) is already co-opted in your choice of who to blame. Why is it that you only blame Israel and the United States? Israel and the United States are acting in a completely predictable manner. Yet you feign outrage and contempt as if this will change anything. But after successive disasters in the Middle East (beginning in 1948), what you should really be asking is, why hasn’t the sum total of disasters yet been enough to mobilize the Arab world?
Bashar al Assad tried to warn his fellow Arabs at the Arab League summit in 2003 that if the United States is allowed to destroy Iraq, the region would be plunged into crisis. He was warning of nothing less than an existential danger. Yet the Arab states (including Iran) went along with the imperialist plan anyway, granting the USA the air space required to take out Iraq.
Though Assad has been proven correct, in the aftermath of the destruction of Iraq, Syria, Libya, Gaza, and now Lebanon, the Arab world still does not see cause for alarm.
Have you ever wondered why your outrage at Israeli atrocities results only in well-wrought indignation at the usual suspects?—i.e. the USA and Israel? Why aren’t you equally disgusted, or more disgusted, at the inability of Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey (collectively or otherwise) to fight?
I’ll tell you why. Because the very powers that you hate (the USA and Israel) are protecting their Arab (and Turk) allies by allowing global outrage to bypass them entirely. Meaning that the lesson Arab elites have learned after the destruction of Libya, Syria, and Iraq is not to arm themselves or challenge Israel. Rather, all Arab countries know that if Israel is not on your side, you are finished.
Israel can easily and at a moment’s notice turn on the propaganda spigots and let global anti-KSA propaganda vitriol spew. All Israel would have to do is “leak” to the press the redacted pages of the FBI 9-11 investigation and Americans will be calling for Saudi blood. Saudi Arabia would be next on the hit-list rather than Iran. Why do you suppose this hasn’t happened? Because only in the report’s redacted form can Israel ensure Saudi complicity in the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
The reason Arab populations have not yet risen up in anger is because their anger, and global anger overall, has been co-opted and tirelessly redirected against Israel and the USA exclusively. And neither Israel nor the USA cares. They know exactly how to handle and subdue this brand of global outrage. For the sake of peace in the region (meaning peace that guarantees their survival), countries like Turkey, Bahrain, Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia must, by necessity, allow Israel to decimate the Palestinians. In return, Israel promises not to smear these countries in the press, and you yourself remain silent in your outrage not against the USA or Israel but the Arab world. This is the current power dynamic at play in the region which will necessarily lead not only to the creation of a greater Israel but the acceptance of Israel by all significant players as the sole legitimate hegemonic power in the region.
One way to understand history is to understand that empires that have engaged in plunder never die. Perhaps the Roman Empire died in 476, but the wealth it stole from the nations and peoples it conquered still exists downstairs in the basement of the Vatican and is the principal reason why the Pope as an entity still exists today and why Vatican City has its own laws. No country or government dares to impinge upon the accumulated wealth of the real one-tenth-of-one-percent masters of society. The Vatican remains as testament to the power and glory of Rome—a power that has never disappeared but simply gone underground.
The same goes for the British Empire. Perhaps its image died in the aftermath of the Second World War, but the wealth it plundered from India, China, Africa, and the New World still exists locked up in the legally sovereign City of London, upon which no government—whether Tory, Liberal, or Labour—can ever hope to impede. The King of England and the Pope exist at the behest of a global cabal of financiers who require the veneer of royalty and religion to continue exercising power from behind the scenes.
The USA is a relative late comer to the game of primitive accumulation. To their credit, the American founding fathers believed wholeheartedly in their own exploitative productive capacities to take on the landed wealth of both Catholic Rome and Protestant Britain. Yet over two centuries later, the USA too has been co-opted, as the tentacled octopus of accumulated wealth has reclaimed a once proud and independent (albeit exploitative) Republic and subdued it to serve the interests of the very monied interests it once broke away from. This infiltration and subjugation of America’s productive capacities (in favor of financialization) has been carried out by “transnational” capital, or capital without a homeland (or, to put it with all due banality, by Jews).
Now, the USA is a walking zombie corpse. What, for instance, could possibly count as the US national interest? The interest of its one-percent ruling elite? And who exactly is that? Wall Street? Silicon Valley? The Defense Department? The State Department? The CIA? The NSA? The American people?
Well the last one is laughable. The last thing the sum total of America’s institutions care about is the American people. But even America’s one-percent ruling class is at war with each other. America’s once revolutionary industrial capitalists are fast losing to America’s financialized monopoly capitalists that are growing stronger by the day through massive funding of the non-productive commanding heights: namely technology and information.
New capital is not interested in production. The accumulated capital of bygone empires is no longer interested in financing industry nor physical infrastructure (like high speed rail or electric cars) that actually changes people’s material reality. Rather, it understands that real power comes from financing and developing communications and information infrastructure. Leave it to countries like China to produce goods for the rest of the world to consume in perpetuity; if you control the technology that controls people’s minds and the distribution of said goods, productive capability becomes merely an afterthought. The real masters of society seek to collect and control via the airwaves, high-frequency trading, and nothing else.
America can never hope to build high speed rail or make productive advances that would help its own industrial class. No matter. From there you might hope that with the crash of the US dollar, the financial wing of America’s one-percent ruling class would also go the way of the dodo bird. But the demise of the US dollar will not entail the demise of gold and silver—i.e. will not decimate the accumulated wealth of Rome, Britain, and to a lesser extent, Wall Street and Silicon Valley. All of these entities will regroup and relocate.
Which brings me to Election 2024. The only thing at stake in this election is which side of the capitalist civil war ongoing wins. But the kicker is that both sides are controlled by Jews.
American Jews representing speculative financial capital hate Trump and love Kamala. They would rather carry on manipulating behind the scenes, hijacking sincere social justice causes to ensure that everyone else out there is pointing at other enemies (black versus white, men versus women, capitalist versus proletariat) so as not to see the true antagonism at play: Jew versus goyim. Jews for Kamala believe Jews can only dominate effectively if invisible.
But the other side of the divide is much more radical and revolutionary. This side supports Trump and productive/industrial capital. These Israeli Jews no longer believe it in their best interest to rule and dominate the planet anonymously. Now is the time to consolidate the grip they have had over the world population for centuries by declaring a Pax Judaica: an unapologetic Kingdom of Israel openly and brazenly asserting its up until now covert unipolar dominance.
Netanyahu is the leader of this revolutionary wing and naturally draws the ire of American Jewish elites who believe they can better maintain power though media manipulation and anonymity. Netanyahu has no qualms about asserting as real something that everyone knows is true: that Jews already control and saturate the world’s most significant financial, political, intellectual, and cultural institutions. The terror for American Jews who oppose Netanyahu is in their reticent belief that Jews have only ever dominated in secret. Netanyahu is taking the unprecedented step of dominating out in the open, to the significant chagrin of those who have only ever had success operating behind the scenes.
My guess is that the Israeli Jews are already looking past Iran. Once Iran is out of the picture, a new unipolar Pax Judaica can get underway. Tensions within the Middle East will soften considerably. Palestine will be a lost cause and the Palestinians an extinct species. Silicon Valley finance capital (American Jewish capital) will finally come around and flee the US (and the US dollar) to take refuge in a new joint-stock exchange operating out of West Jerusalem (or just Jerusalem) and Abu Dhabi. Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) issued by the IMF (and backed by the accumulated one-percent gold and silver reserves of now defunct Roman, British, and American empires) will become the world’s reserve currency and even China and Russia will fall into line with this new world order.
Israel will allow China to produce goods for the world, with a rival BRI network nonetheless (Netanyahu’s “map of a blessing” through Saudi Arabia, Israel, Egypt, and Sudan), which China will accept in the hope of reinstating a global tributary system under which the Middle Kingdom once thrived for centuries. The world will pay tribute to China for its goods, while China (and Russia) will pay tribute to Israel for maintaining the world’s reserve currency.
China will never make a play to have the RMB replace the US dollar because China has only ever thrived economically with its currency pegged to the American greenback. Without a global reserve currency to peg its hopes to, China’s elites would be lost. China’s elites are nowhere near as revolutionary as Israel’s.
(If the RMB were somehow to succeed in becoming the world reserve currency (which could only happen by force), capital would flock to Beijing. Overnight, a K-street-like set up would overrun West Chang’An as the world’s lobbyists would descend upon China’s capital to petition government for favorable monetary policy. China would find itself immediately in charge not of its own money supply but the global money supply. It would decide the fate of nations big and small. This is a responsibility China is neither ready for nor covets.)
Neither will Russia fight. Perhaps Putin or his successor will carry out another limited “special military operation” if Israel attacks Iran; but Russia has not the gumption to challenge for world supremacy. Only Israel has such gumption.
Which comes back finally to the hardest kernel of truth I revert to that allows me to speculate in such a wild manner while maintaining some manner of integrity and truthfulness. The truth is this: history rewards actors, people, causes, or entities who fight, regardless of whether truth or justice is actually on their side. The only sovereign organized political entity in the world today that dares to fight for its collective interests and well-being is Israel. They do not care about whatever short-term obstacles or hindrances stand in their way and they will never yield. Those who dare to fight for what they believe in will inherit the Earth. I only wish Communists could act the same way.
But the world-historical revolutionary moment has long been missed. Moving forward, Russia and China, like the Arab countries before them, will go along to get along. Be calm and welcome the coming of a new Pax Judaica. We will serve our new Jewish overlords because we too would rather go along to get along. And perhaps best to look at it this way: why should serving our Jewish masters be any worse than serving our American, British, or Roman masters before them?
