What has taken place in Pakistan is what I have long hoped for (for decades) from a country peopled with brown people on the receiving end of imperialist blows.
pakistan has discovered an oil reserve in its north west, so it isn't entirely w/o resources. i vaguely remember that russia offered assistance in bringing it up to speed. also russia has developed a method that can refine heavy oil @ source, i'm not sure the grade of this newly discovered source but if it's heavy this could prove very helpful.
with china's prescient mentorship, pakistan has neatly checked india's beguilement with empire while still figuring as the 'i' within brics (which may if necessary be replaced by iran or indonesia).
